Tour of my Minecraft world from 2012!

On the day Minecraft released (09/May/2012) on the XBOX 360 I made my first world DroidCraft.
I used to play on this map with my friends all the time, and we would build loads of different structures.
This is the creative version of that very same world!
This may be the creative version of my world, but I actually still have the original survival version too.
This world has survived quite a lot over the years.
Starting out on the XBOX 360, then uploading to the XBOX One version, then transferring to the XBOX One Bedrock version, then uploading to my PC via relms.
Then after all that, this world also survived my PC’s C drive failing!

Now that it's transferred to the PC version (Bedrock) I intend to preserve it for as long as possible.
I will not be using any texture packs during this tour, that way you can experience it the same way we did back when the world was built.
Using the name (DroidCraft) as the seed, this was the first thing I saw (Without all of the creative mode structures of course.):

A small sandy piece of land with a few trees.
Funny backstory there was a cactus that I wanted to grow, and use as green dye for flooring.
But a Creeper exploded destroying the cactus.
Turns out that cactus was the only one in the whole world!
Because of that I was never able to use any green wool in this (survival version) world.
In hindsight I could’ve used grass to achieve the green flooring.
Although now that the world size is not limited like it was on the 360, I could return to the survival version and finally get that green wool.

Back in the XBOX 360 version the world size was limited, but now on PC the world has extended far beyond such limits.
The strange line in the water you can see on the right is actually the original edge of the world.
Additionally on the right side past the water you'll see a hill. This was also not there in the original map due to the world size limitations.

The entry to my house, complete with a working door bell button on the right side of the door.
Some windows on the left giving a good view of the water.
Unfortunately said water is mostly frozen, it wasn't always like that. After some updates the biomes changed multiple times.
The wooden part above is the extension, the base initially didn't have that.
A nice and cozy space inside.
You can see even now the flooring is still not green.
My bed use to be where the crafting table is now.

Images Above:
Here you can see (from the inside) the window overlooking the gravel path leading to the front door.
Going left, past the fire place takes you to the main storage area.
The chests still contain items from survival mode.
You probably already noticed that the chests are not connected like they should be.
This is a bug that can happen when transferring worlds, the content is not effected.

Images Below:
Here you can see the hallway that leads to the observation room.
Going down the hatch on the right of the ender chest leads to the 2nd image.
Down here is the redstone for the door bell.
Opposite to the redstone is a small window (can’t see in image) that looks directly up at the sky.
Going down the hallway we arrive at the observation room.

Inside the observation room you can get a good view of the water, and all the glowstone on the sea floor (I can't remember if the glowstone was placed there in survival or creative.).
You can also see some structures in the distance, we’ll be going there later.

The Dog room. :)
This room originally had the dog’s names on the signs, but transferring worlds also clears sign text.
I don’t remember what their names were, and this was long before name tags existed.
However I do know one was named "Lupe" after the wolf from Sonic.

Going back to the main room, and going through this middle door.
I didn’t build this room, I never really come back here.

I added this house extension above the original base in creative, it was loosely based on a character’s house I saw in Sonic Underground.
The music boxes represent a piano.

Here is the market complete with automatic lighting, it’s next to the house extension.
Looks like all the villagers have left.

A small boat dock, built past the original world border.
I think this was one of the last things I built on this world.

This is a tower I built (in survival.) as a challenge after I saw on TV someone IRL had a house that was only as big as the front door.
There isn’t much to see inside, but I did use this building a few times.

This is the train station.
It’s next to the animal farm that was in the original survival version.

Interior of the animal farm.
We used to have a pink sheep that naturally spawned here.
I actually thought my friends were trolling me, and somehow dyed it pink.
But no they were not trolling, I soon found out that a pink sheep can spawn naturally.
Once in creative mode I moved the sheep to a safer location.
We'll be seeing that sheep later.
The size of this space caused animals to be at risk of despawning.
That’s why there are no animals left here.

Train Station interior.
The weird dirt block is some error that happened during the world transfer.
I think the error is caused by something that we had over the door like a vine or something.

You're probably thinking right now "Why is there a hole in the floor?".
That is a remnant of the worst prank we ever atemptted.
We wanted to have a trap door that would open revealing a lava pit.
But we were so bad at using redstone at the time, it took 2 of us like 40 minutes to figure it out.
What made it even worse is the whole time our other friend was trapped in the lower level of the train station, so he wouldn’t see us building the trap door.
And as if this situation couldn’t get any more gormless when we finally tried to execute the prank, it didn’t even work!

After that it became known as the most rancid prank ever.
We never attempted any prank without extensive planing after that.

Pulling different combinations of leavers changes what your destination is.
What was nice about these rails is that one track is outgoing and the other is returning.
This way multiple players can ride the rails at the same time.

A broken map still hangs on this wall, showing nonexistent players in it’s emptiness.

This area is a potion bar, featuring retractable tables.

Downstairs is another rail accesse room.
This underwater tunnel was always fun to travel through.

Near by the train station is the first railroad I ever built (in survival.).
It leads to the main farm.
Some parts of it lay abandoned, and untouched for years.

I don't go down here. Ever.

This is the main farm I would use in survival.
Obviously that redstone monstrosity was not in the original survival build.
It’s funny how back then this was considered to be a massive farm.

It’s quite something to see how small this area actually is.
Back on the 360 this world felt so big, but now being able to see so much of it all at once is really strange.

This small island next to the minecart rails has a bigger backstory than you might think.
One dark and stormy night (in game too.) we found a pig next to a deep pit.
There was an achievment for riding a pig while said pig takes fall damage.
Back in 2012 it was hard to get a sattle so this was a big deal.
We took turns riding the pig into the pit, we even invited more of ower friends to get the achievment.
That wooden U shape is where this took place.
We all got that achievment that night.
The pig in the screenshot is not the same one from back then.
We killed that pig to get that valuble sattle back, and it's tasty meat.
After changing the world to creative that pit became more of a historical landmark.
There is also a creepy Underground maze here, but it's hidden, and I don't remember where it is.

This island was also a critical part of an adventure map I hosted here.
Inside that false tree was a sign that gave the location of the next adventure clue.

Here is the redstone lab, and the freezer where the snow golems are.
If you recognize the logo on the front of the building then you must be pretty cool.
Let’s take a look at the freezer first!

As you can see this is also where I moved the pink sheep.

The glass contraption was a snowball generator.
However it relied on a glitch to function, therefor it’s no longer functional.

You may have noticed that there are no torches in this room, in fact all light sources are outside of the building.
This is to reduce any heat sources, keeping the snow from melting.
These are probably some of the safest and coldest snow golems to ever exist in Minecraft.

This was the last thing I built on this world.
It’s based on a bank from RuneScape.
So is the building to the left of it.

Front entry to the redstone lab.
This was here in the original survival version of the world, but obviously not made of iron blocks.
The lab was originally intended for redstone experiments, and mob spawn farming.
After swapping over to creative mode this building became more of an RP area than a redstone research lab.

The wooden information board didn’t have anything important on it.
It was flavor text meant to enrich the theme of the place.

Going down the hatch:
The left image (with the iron door next to the 2 chests.) is where digging out the lower levels started.
The right image shows a pillar of stone, that is a stone generator.
I don’t know if it still works.
Also in the right image you can see the rails that connect to the train station.

Potion clean rooms.
The dispensers in the big room are full of splash health potions.
The villagers in the market may have left, but the potion brewers seem to still be here.

My office where I would think of ways to take over the world!
Or something like that.

Long abandoned rooms, and corridors.
This one in particular was used to test how far arrows can shoot.

This was the greenscreen room.
We never used if back then, but you never know I might have a use for it at some point.

Next up: Robotropolis!
Clearly based on the Sonic series as you can see by the main building.

Entry by mine cart.

Guard’s area.

Inside the main building.
Featuring Robotnik’s famous chair.
It still amazes me how close all of the buildings actually are.

A roboticizer on the top floor.

The building also doubles as a fountain.

I don't remember what this building was.
By the looks of it, it might've been a prison.
But it's hard to tell being that it was never finished.

Here are the barracks and robot factories.

This is my Christmas cabin.
We would come here and light the Christmas tree every year.
If you're wondering why there are vines on the cabin we would use a Christmas texture pack that mede them look like Christmas lights.

This floating tower was based on the forerunners towers in Halo.
The design combines the styles of Halo 3 and Halo 4.
I built it for an adventure map I hosted in this world.

Being able to see a world outside of the original map limit is really cool to me.
That pumpkin patch is where I wanted to recreate Pumpkin Hill from Sonic Adventure 2, but this area is so far from the other locations I never got around to building it.

Orb.

Knothole.
Where Sonic and friends live in Sonic SatAm.
It's not a very detailed build, but it is a cozy one.

If you're an Animal Crossing fan you might recognize this one.

That's right!
It's Resetti's Reset Surveillance Center!

The Roost. (Wild World version)
That weird staircase with the pistons is a connect 4 style game.
You play it using sand and gravel.
When the game is done you would pull the leaver, this retracts the pistons clearing any sand and gravel.
You'd be suprised at how many times we played that mini game.

This is a redstone vending machine.
I beleave it still works, but the redstone wireing is a mess.
Atleast it's color coded.

We are now close to the end of this tour.
Ending back where we first began, at my base.
The final area to explore is the underground section.

That furnace monstrosity is where the original stone generator was.

That small pice of water was the hot tub.

The mushroom farm.
If you look closely you can see they are still in there.
Scheming in the moist dark!

I don't know whats in that walled off area with the sign.
I'm not the one that sealed it off.

I don't know why the Nether is sealed off so aggressivly.
In fact I don't remember blocking it like that at all.
I also don't know why there is Netherrack all over the room.
This seems to be my real life CreepyPasta.
I'll call it "Mystery of the Nether Portal".

This concludes the tour of my first Minecraft world.
I hope you enjoied it as much as I did!
I plan on making a video tour of this world, and some others I have including the survival version.
But I neen to get a new mic setup first.
When the video tour is ready for viewing it will be linked here, so be sure to bookmark this page.
