I recently started going through my 3DS looking for old screenshots.
But in doing so, I realized there's some potential lost media that could become more and more lost every day.
What I'm referring to are the game demos.
Now with the eShop gone, new ones can't be downloaded.
This is a problem because for some reason on the 3DS, demos have a limited amount of times you can play them.
Once the maximum number of times the demo can be played is reached, it becomes unusable.
I don't know if there are any fan projects that were able to archive any of these demos, but it seems like something that would be in danger of becoming lost media over time.

Another potential piece of 3DS lost media would be the themes, badges from the badge arcade, and promotional videos from either the eShop or the special distribution networks like Spot Pass.

One piece of obscure lost media I don't hear much of anyone discussing would be community made software from Petite Computer, also known as the Smile Basic.
I imagine community-made software for the original petite computer was somewhat well preserved because it didn't rely on a network for distribution and instead used QR codes.
However, future versions of Smile Basic didn't have the QR code as a distribution option and instead relied on the nintendo network to download the programs.
Now the only option left is to manually recreate the program from the source code.
And if that source code isn't very well documented, it's pretty much impossible to recreate the community-made software in question.
It's unfortunately likely Smile Basic on the switch will eventually have the same fate.

I find it interesting how people still discuss, and theorize about old games more than new ones.
What made me think of this is Animal Crossing (GC).
I was watching a video about theories on the identity of 2 characters shown on a wanted poster.
Such a small detail used to fill in the background of the police station in a 22 year old game.
Yet after all this time many (including myself) find these old mysteries intriguing.
This made me realize that in many cases old games often had more personality put into them, and it's not simply rose tinted nostalgia glasses.

What really confirmed this for me is when I played old games for the first time that I had no nostalgia for.
Inspite of not having nostalgia for any particular game, I found myself enjoying older titles from the 1990-2012 era more than most sterlalized corporate modern titles.

Got to mastery rank 29 today in warframe.
There are now only 3 achievements left to unlock: (True Master, Race Ace, K-Driven).
Anyone remember the final 4kids TV airing?
I don't remember if it was the final as a whole, or if it was just for Sonic X.
But whatever it was I do remember there was a full Sonic X marathon that lead up to the end of season 3.
I also remember there was a horizontal bar at the bottom of the TV screen that had scrolling comments from the 4kids website.
Many of the comments were hoping for a season 4.
The commenters seemingly didn't know the series had (unfortunately) already ended in Japan, and Sega wouldn't be making a 4th season.
I feel like there's probably a lot of lost media involving 4kids TV, and FoxBox.
Now that I think about it there was also that time they rebranded as cw4kids.
It's possible what I'm thinking of with Sonic X took place after the rebrand.

First post here.
Testing out the api, it seems a bit clunky.
Other than that the convenience is pretty good.
The good thing is with that I can update (some) pages more often.

The front page will return to normal once the SKG campaign concludes.
The latest news from SGK looks promising, but it's not over until it's over.
Got the new Valkyr Heirloom set, and some other stuff. I probably spent over 500p today. (Owo)
